Seminary, 1603-1797 (40 items).
In accordance with the provisions of the Council of Trent, a seminary was set up in Namur in 1568, in the former beguinage of Rhisnes, near Place Saint-Aubain, but it was soon abandoned and transferred to Nivelles. It was re-established a century later (1656), near the same place. Abolished in 1797, the Seminary was purchased in 1805 by Bishop Pisani de la Gaude. BOVESSE, Inventory, pp. 7-9.
