he is buried in plot 104P of the Saint Josse-ten Noode cemetery. Married in 1st marriage to BUELENS Amélie Joseph, 2nd husband of VAN CELST Joséphine Catherine Antoinette. Volunteer in 1830. He was the standard-bearer for the Mons volunteers. Decorated He was awarded the Croix de fer in 1835, and was subsequently made an Officer of the Order of Leopold and awarded the Croix civique de 1ère classe. He then became a civil servant in the Ministry of Finance.
